The New Zealand Football Federation refused to comment on the death of Futsal guard Ata Alian, one of the victims of the armed attack on mosques in New Zealand, having not received any official confirmation of his death.
The sources, who confirmed the death of Alayyan, 33, a native of Kuwait and guardian of the New Zealand National Football Team, were killed during the attack on the mosque of the city Friday.
Mr. Alian recently became a father and served as a director and shareholder of LWA Solutions, a technology company.
The terrorist attack on mosques in the Christchurch area in the south of the island killed 50 people during Friday prayers.
