A Sudanese emergency court on Sunday sentenced a week in prison Maryam Sadiq al – Mahdi, daughter of opposition leader Umma, to a week in prison, party officials said.
According to Reuters, Mariam al-Mahdi was one of 19 party members sentenced by the court to 2,000 Sudanese pounds ($ 42) for taking part in demonstrations calling for the resignation of President Omar al-Bashir.
