HMD Global Oy has published an invitation to an event in which the Nokia X71 will be unveiled. The event will be held in Taiwan on April 2 and the Nokia 9 PureView phone launch will be announced in the country as the latest flagship phone of the Finnish company.

The Nokia X71 should eventually be launched as the world's first Nokia 8.1 Plus, and the first HMD Global Oy smartphone will feature a 48-megapixel camera. This camera will be connected to a wide angle lens, both equipped with Carl Zeiss lenses. The Nokia X71 will also be the first Nokia phone with the front camera in a screen hole, as shown in the picture above. It should also have a 6.22-inch screen.

But note that the Nokia X71 and Nokia 8.1 Plus will not be exactly the same, the Nokia X71 should have a third camera in the backend that remains unclear. The images below show only the dual camera version.

Like the current Nokia 8.1 phone, the next Nokia 8.1 Plus will likely belong to the middle class. So do not expect to have it with a prominent processor. However, the current Snapdragon 710 processor is very thin, but remains slow compared to the Snapdragon 845 processor used by HMD Global Oy in the Nokia 9 PureView.
