The Qasr El Nil Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Amr Fahmy, acquitted Mahmud Al-Khatib, president of the Al-Ahli club, and Al-Amri Farouk, vice-president of the club in the case 9894 of 2018, and registered under No. 5852, Central Cairo, to receive and accept foreign donations. 2017 and challenged the plaintiffs to the referee.

A lawyer and a pharmacist filed an offense in the court based on press reports that the administration had agreed to make donations to the club, providing portfolios and papers containing images of correspondence sent by the management. from the Ahli club to the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Cairo.

The defense of the Ahli club provided documents informing the relevant authorities of President Mahmoud Al-Khatib, as well as the authorization of the administrative authority to accept these donations at the time of receiving them.
