The Oppo Reno 2 5G phone appears publicly with a telephoto camera based on the principle of the endoscope

Oppo did not reveal the successor of the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition phone last week when it unveiled the phones of the Oppo Reno 2 Series series, which up to now consists of three phones: Oppo Reno 2, Oppo Reno 2F and Oppo Reno 2Z. However, the successor of the phone has been spotted today. Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition goes to the TENAA website, or at least 5G version. As a reminder, the phone Oppo Reno 5G has the same specifications as the phone Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition with the modem Qualcomm X50 compatible with 5G networks. It is not clear whether the 4G and 5G versions of Oppo Reno's next flagship product will be launched or whether it will be sufficient to launch a single version supporting 5G networks.

According to what we saw on the TENAA website, the Oppo Reno 2 5G will have four cameras in the back, like its brothers, although the third top camera is clearly a telephoto camera based on the principle of the endoscope. This will give the appropriate optical magnification, but unfortunately, the Chinese body did not disclose to us the complete technical specifications. So we can not know if it will provide a 5x zoom again or if Oppo has changed the focal length.

There is no indication of what the fourth camera does, but judging by the other models of Oppo Reno 2, we think it will be responsible for detecting the depth information. Oppo has not yet unveiled a smartphone with a special macro camera, the camera we started to see in smartphones with four cameras at the back.

The Oppo Reno 2 5G phone is also excellent compared to other models. It has a 6.6-inch diameter screen, just like the Oppo Reno Phone 10x Zoom Edition and Oppo Reno 5G. The battery capacity is always around 3930mAh, so it's basically unchanged from the previous model.
