The referee of a professional football match in Palestine was forced to add an unreasonable additional period.
This period is expected to set a world record. At the Premier League games in Gaza, which take place in the Palestinian sector, the referee had to calculate a record period of overtime in addition to the official 90-minute playing time.
The Egyptian website on the veto indicates that the referee decided not to finish the match, which took place at the Khan Younis stadium, in the southern Gaza Strip, without the stadium being enlightened.
But the lighting technician, the only one to have the keys, was not on the ground at that time.
After the intervention of the technician and the lighting turned on, the second part of the match, which brought together the youth clubs of Khan Younis and Ittihad Khan Younis, was over.
This is probably the largest number of overtime added to a professional football match in recent history.
