A team from the International Center for Astronomy announced yesterday the results of the meteorite search that landed yesterday in a desert area of the United Arab Emirates.
According to a statement from the center, two possible samples were found, the first black rock and the second, rusty signs of iron.
After rapid tests, the magnetic properties of the second sample were shown, attracting a magnetic piece.
The Center immediately contacted NASA's partners at NASA, the US space agency, and showed samples, according to scientific estimates.
The UAE meteorological and meteorite weather network had recorded a brilliant fireball that appeared in the skies of the United Arab Emirates yesterday at 19:00 and 40 minutes and 11 seconds United Arab Emirates time.
The camera network was created by the Center for International Astronomy in different parts of the United Arab Emirates and is managed by the center in cooperation with NASA.
The network is composed of several stations. Each station has 16 astronomical cameras directed towards the sky and automatically films all Shahab appearing in the sky. The station then automatically sends video clips to the main center of Abu Dhabi.
The fireball was filmed by an astronomical camera at the Ramah station and by another astronomical camera at the Al Wajn station. Since the fireball has been fired through two cameras, this calculates the path of the fireball when the Earth enters the atmosphere through spherical triangulation.
