A study by health insurance company Cigna Europe found that awareness of the detection and treatment of cardiovascular health problems was low in the UK compared to 22 countries surveyed.
The experts therefore insisted on the need to know a whole range of symptoms that could be a sign of a serious health problem, namely:
– Pain in the jaw
Women do not always feel the usual chest pain, which many men report when they have a heart attack, but they may suffer from pain in the arch or neck, of an extreme tiredness and nausea. Ignoring this situation, women are more likely to die than men of the same age.
– Itching and swelling of the lips
This can be a sign or reaction to life-threatening allergies, where the bronchi can also be affected, causing swelling and difficulty breathing.
– The sudden light flashes
If this viewer appears quickly, you should consult your ophthalmologist promptly. This symptom may indicate retinal damage and possible loss of vision.
– abnormal appearance of the nails
Light nails are associated with anemia, congestive heart failure or liver disease, while blue nails indicate hypoxia in the body or a lung or heart problem.
– Change the writing font
If the writing becomes smaller, larger or very chaotic, it may indicate a neurological disorder such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease or a brain tumor.
– chronic abdominal pain
Prolonged indigestion is a sign of appendicitis, bladder problems or stomach ulcers.
– night cough
If you do not suffer from asthma or acid reflux, nocturnal cough may be an early sign of congestive heart failure. This happens when fluid accumulates in the chest and heart when you lie down for a prolonged period, causing a cough.
– acute headache
This type of headache, described by patients as "the worst of all", can be a sign of cerebral hemorrhage, stroke or meningitis.
– sting an arm
A tingling sensation under the arm that lasts more than 30 minutes, especially if it is accompanied by dizziness or nausea, may be a sign of a heart attack.
– intense night sweating
Sudden night sweats are not normal and may be a sign of bowel cancer, lymphoma or leukemia.
– feeling fast quickly despite eating a little
Satiety or loss of appetite may be an early sign of ovarian cancer, especially if it is accompanied by bloating, pelvic pain or bladder pressure problems.
– Unexplained weight loss
This can be a sign of infection associated with many health problems, including cancer.
