As expected, TCL officially unveiled today its first branded smartphone for global markets at IFA 2019 in Berlin. The phone in question is the TCL PLEX.
TCL, China's leading TV manufacturer, provided the new TCL PLEX with medium technical specifications, including a 6.53-inch FullHD + display with a hole in the upper left corner of the 24-megapixel front camera and a Snapdragon 675 processor octa-core. Its 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory are expandable by microSD.
The new TCL PLEX phone also includes three cameras in the rear interface, with a precision of 48 megapixels for the main camera and 16 megapixels for the second wide angle camera and with a precision of 2 megapixels for the third camera responsible for depth information of the sensor. According to TCL, this camera will be able to shoot slow videos at 960 frames per second. It will also feature Super Night mode, which allows you to capture clear images in dark environments.
The new TCL PLEX also includes a fingerprint sensor in the backend, a 3820mAh battery that supports a fast charge of 18W and comes with the T-Cast app that allows you to control TVs smart TCL from your smartphone. Overall, the new TCL PLEX will be available in black and white in Europe in the fourth quarter of this year from 329 euros, but we still do not know when this phone will reach the markets of the rest of the world.
