The national team's technical team, led by Mexican Javier Aguirre, has decided to exclude Mohammed Awad, the Saudi goalkeeper from the Pharaohs camp in March.
A source on the Egyptian team's technical team said Awwad needed three weeks to recover from a first-degree injury that had damaged the secretariat's muscle, making the camp weak.
The team will enter a closed camp on March 18 for the matches of Niger and Nigeria.
