In contrast, Villarreal of Spain failed to secure their pass in the 32nd round after a 1-1 draw with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the ninth group.
Milan drew 1-1 with host Lille in Group H, which saw Sparta Prague’s big win over Celtic Scots 4-1.
Lille reinforce their lead in the group with eight points, one point behind Milan, and two points behind Sparta, who entered strongly into the competition for one of the two qualifying rounds.
Napoli remembers Maradona
Napoli broke their association with Real Sociedad and Dutchman Alkmaar, who drew a draw, beating Croatia’s Rijeka 2-0.
Napoli led the Group Six standings with nine points, two points behind the leaders of the Spanish League and the Dutch team, and the Croatian remained without points.
