The winning works of the 2019 Arab Press Prize

The Board of Directors of the Arab Journalism Award won the 18th prize, the winner of the press column and media personality, and was appointed by decision of the board of directors at the Dubai Press Club's headquarters under the chairmanship of Diaa Rashwan.

Jassim Al Shamsi, deputy director of the prize, said that the number of countries participating in this session had risen to 38, including 20 Arab countries and 18 foreign countries, with Egypt ranking first in the world for the number of participations or 22% of the total number of companies. In terms of categorization, the category of Arab youth journalism attracted the highest number of participants in this session. The General Secretariat of the Prize received 568 journalistic works from young men and women working in the Arab press, followed by the category 434 dialogue,, thus linking the economic, humanitarian, cultural, sports, political, cartoon, image and intelligent categories.

The deputy director of the award noted that recent developments in the process of sorting the works helped to improve the efficiency of the participants and overcome the obstacles to the arbitration committees, as well as the enlargement the geographical area of ​​the countries participating in the award.
