Ahmed Al-Mohammadi of Aston Villa was delighted to extend his contract with the English club for another season.

Aston Villa has announced the extension of the Egyptian international contract to continue with the team over the next two seasons.

"I am happy to extend my contract with the club for a new season, a big club villa and big fans," Mohammadi said in a video posted on the club's official account.

"Since joining Aston Villa, my goal is to bring them to the Premier League.

"The league is the most difficult league in the world in terms of promotion," he said.

"Things were difficult at first, playing in the English league is not easy, we played well in the first two rounds and I hope we are lucky."

It should be noted that Villa is currently competing in the Premier League after winning Championship after defeating Derby County in the playoff final.
