Several French and English reports revealed that a French research team had found the wreckage of an aircraft that may belong to Argentine Emiliano Sala.
The Argentinian Emiliano Sala was on a private jet that took him from France to England to start his career in Cardiff – his new team – but did not arrive and found no details.
The Sky Sports, The Sun and Meror newspapers, as well as several French newspapers, have just confirmed that the wreckage of a plane supposed to belong to Sala and pilot David Iboston has been found.
The discovery was made by French investigators on a beach near Surainville (Saortonville), on the French coast.
According to the newspaper Mirror, the Directorate of Air Accident Investigations said that two seat cushions had been discovered, probably "wrecks" of the plane carrying the attacker from the city of Cardiff.
"On the morning of Monday, January 28, the Office of Investigation & Analysis informed us that part of the seat cushion had been found on the beach near Surainville, in the peninsula. Cotentin, a second pillow was found in the same area later in the day. "
"From the preliminary examination, we showed that the pillows are likely to come from the missing plane."
