THQ Nordic plans to change its name to Embrace

THQ Nordic AB, a group active in the fields of entertainment, video games, plans to change its name to Embracer. The group owns several independently operating companies, including THQ Nordic GmbH, Koch Media and Deep Silver.

The company seems to be considering changing the name because of the similarity between the full name of the group and the name of its independent subsidiary THQ Nordic. The company will discuss this proposal, called Embracer, for approval at the next investor meeting on September 17th.
