Books – Youssef Afifi:

Engineer Majed Abu Zahra, president of the Jeddah Astronomical Society, said that the skies of the Arab world witnessed tomorrow morning, Saturday, the conjunction of the planets of Venus and Saturn with the eastern horizon, as they will not be separated. only by 0.4 degrees before sunrise shortly, so that the light of the morning twilight will affect the vision of the conjunction with the eye The abstract.

Abu Zahra added, on the association’s official Facebook page, that Venus is about 65 times brighter than Saturn right now, and that they will be in front of the constellation Capricorn, and they can be seen together in the field of view of a low power telescope or binoculars.

He added that the two planets will appear close to each other to the observer because they are located on the same line of sight from Earth, but not in space. The planet Venus moves in an orbit between the Earth and the Sun, while Saturn moves behind the Earth, and even behind Jupiter, so Saturn is the sixth planet hence the distance from the sun.

It is worth noting that after the day of the conjunction, Venus will continue to descend to the sun every day and Jupiter will reunite and join her on February 11.
