Mostafa Arendes –
The Forbes Economic magazine released a report confirming that Toyota had decided to stop the sale of Toyota's "Land Cruiser" due to weak sales in the world. The production of the car started in 2007 and has only been updated slightly in 2016.
On the other hand, a buyer looking for a luxury SUV Toyota will not worry about off-road handling because it has more of a choice to Toyota where the Sequoia or 4Runner is located and presents a high quality interior design.
Forbes confirmed that the Land Cruiser's stop would be loud, so Toyota needs to move the market and reinvent the Land Cruiser.
Jim Lentz, head of Toyota's US branch, said last year that the company was vigorously considering all competing categories to focus on the most profitable sectors. Analysts were therefore waiting for Toyota to stop a number of slow selling models in some markets.
Stopping the sale of the Land Cruiser would not be strange, the company having sold only 3,235 copies last year in North America, with about 1,877 copies sold in the first seven months of 2019, modest sales.
