Ambassador Najib Al-Munif, Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the League of Arab States, affirmed the determination of his country to use all its potential to contribute to the unification of the Arab ranks.
This was announced today in a speech to Al-Moneef, after receiving from his Saudi counterpart Osama Al-Naqali (the representative of the previous presidency of the Arab Summit) the presidency of the meeting of delegates and senior officials preparatory to the meeting of ministers of the Arab Foreign Minister in anticipation of the Arab League Council at the summit scheduled for March 31.
Al-Muneef expressed the hope of his country that the Arab Summit would contribute to the creation of new and promising hopes that will meet the aspirations of the peoples and Arab countries, in recognition of their legitimate right to lead a life decent in security and stability.
Therefore, Al-Muneef said that our Arab nation is facing at this delicate stage of great challenges that affect the present of its people and the future of its generations.
He underscored Tunisia's determination to assume all its capacities, in cooperation with the Arab brothers, in order to continue serving the Arab causes and to contribute to the unification of the Arab ranks, on the basis of the political constants of the Minister. Tunisian foreign affairs and the pride of its Arab membership.
He stressed that the items on the agenda of the delegates' meeting included a number of key issues aimed at strengthening and activating the elements of joint Arab action and addressing the serious problems of the region, especially the Palestinian cause, and to support the struggle and firmness of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state in full sovereignty, Sharif, as well as the situation in Libya, Yemen, Syria and Mosul, the maintenance of Arab national security, the fight against Takfiri groups and the development of the League of Arab States, as well as economic and social issues.
