Al-Marsad Newspaper: Turki Al-Sheikh, president of the General Authority of Entertainment, has launched a Farouk contest, which aims to revive the will of Caliph Omar bin al-Khattab.
This contest encourages amateur citizens to compete in freestyle skiing, archery and horseback competitions and to win prizes representing more than half a million Saudi Riyals for each challenge.
Competition stages
The competition consists of four phases, the first of which was launched today and will run until October 15th. Participants are welcomed by registering for one of the challenges presented. The second phase will exclude registrations that do not meet the participation and registration criteria from October 16th until November 14th.
The third step is live performances and judging, starting on November 15 for a period of 10 days, during which candidates will demonstrate their skills in an interactive competition with the presence of multiple judges in each challenge to evaluate their performance, and finally the stadium of the announcement of the winners on November 25, where will be announced all the winners.
Prize of the contest
Half a million riyals will be divided among the 10 winners of each challenge, as follows: first place 100,000 riyals, second place 50,000 riyals, third place 25,000 riyals, fourth place 6,000 riyals, fifth place 5,000 riyals and seventh to tenth place 2500 SR.
