UFC Mixed Martial Arts President Dana White has announced that Russian UFC under-70kg champion Habib Nurmagomedov has officially retired and will not be returning to the battlefield.

White posted, via his official account on the “Twitter” site, a photo of himself with Habib, and commented, “He (Habib) has officially retired 100%”.

Speaking to Habib, he added: “It was amazing to see you working (fighting) … Thank you for everything, and enjoy whatever comes, my friend.”

Habib, 32, announced his abrupt retirement after defeating American Justin Gaitji on October 24, 2020, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi in the UFC 254 tournament, after claiming 29 victories without suffering of defeat.

But according to some reports, it was likely that Habib would change his decision to retire and return to the battlefield to fight his last 30 fights of his career, before White refuted all those rumors with this tweet.
