The King Faisal Islamic Studies and Research Center (KISR) has announced the release of the film Born A King, which will open on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in the Kingdom and Gulf film theaters.
The film deals with the visit of King Faisal bin Abdulaziz – may Allah grant him his pardon – in Britain in 1919, a joint production of the Kingdom, England and Spain, filmed between Riyadh and London. According to Okaz.
The Saudi historical film tells the beginnings of King Faisal's life, from his birth in 1906 to his return from England in 1920, and describes the first major diplomatic journey of a Saudi citizen to the British royal court, where was the young Prince Faisal, 13 years old. Meeting with King of England George V and other personalities such as Winston Churchill, Lawrence of Arabia and Foreign Secretary Lord Curzon.
The film will be screened at Fox Cinemas in the Kingdom and distributed in cooperation with other film companies of the Kingdom and the GCC.
