More than 30 million light years away from us, NASA has noticed a “cinnamon cake” in space, and the galaxy known as UGC 12588 is a strange state in space. While most galaxies have long arms of stars, like the Milky Way, UGC 1258 appears like a “cinnamon cake” with a dense center. The galaxy was found in the constellation Andromeda, 31 million light years away (one light year equals about nine trillion kilometers). However, this distance is incomparable for Hubble, who managed to capture the strange galaxy. NASA said in a statement: “The faint galaxy in this image, called UGC 12588, has been spotted by the Hubble Space Telescope of NASA and the European Space Agency. Unlike many spiral galaxies, the UGC 12588 does not display a star trail at its center or the prominent classic spiral arm pattern. Instead, for a viewer, its circular, white, and often unorganized center makes this galaxy more of a cinnamon cake than the giant structure of stars and gas. in the space”.

“This galaxy is located in the constellation Andromeda in the northern hemisphere and is classified as a spiral galaxy. Unlike the classic image of the spiral galaxy, the massive stars and gas arms of UGC 12588 are very weak, indistinguishable and tightly wrapped around its center, ”NASA said. American Space: “The clearest view of the spiral arms comes from the blue stars scattered around the edges of the galaxy, which highlight regions where new star formation is likely to occur.”
