DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – For the second time in a row, VAR's video assistant technology has canceled Manchester City's deadly victory over Tottenham, putting an end to a 2-2 draw.
At Etihad Stadium, City took advantage in the 20th minute over England's Englishman Rahim Stirling, before Tottenham tied Eric Lamela of Argentina three minutes later.
Before the break, Sergio Aguero scored the second goal for City in the 36th minute.
In the second half, the visitors equalized in front of Brazilian substitute Lucas Mora, who scored the first touchdown, in the 56th minute.
In the 91st minute, Brazilian substitute Gabriel Jesus scored the winning goal, but the VAR canceled, ending the match with a 2-2 draw.
Spanish coaches Pep Guardiola and Aguero clashed after the latter's replacement, but the problem was resolved before the end of the match.
With this result, City stumbles on the ground and away from Liverpool and Arsenal by two points.
