JEDDAH police arrested a Saudi man during his fourth decade after appearing in a video clip carrying an old wallet and stealing money from a shop in the port city of Jeddah, in the south of the country .
According to local sources, the incident occurred last Monday, when the attacker showed himself in a video of a surveillance camera installed in a shop, forcibly pulling the old man's wallet and throwing him to the ground, marveled at the surprise of those inside.
The Jeddah police said that they had arrested the abuser and started legal proceedings against him, while local media had claimed that he was suffering from a mental illness that could drive in a psychiatric facility and not in prison.
The incident sparked angry reactions on social networking sites and calls to stop the abuser, before Saudi security authorities announced his identity and arrest.
