The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Appeals and Guidance, Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, announced that the ministry had formed an immediate committee to consider the issue of "abusive speakers".
Al-Khatib spoke illegally about women's work and in a way that was not commensurate with the policies of the state and those of its scholars.
Al-Sheikh revealed in a video posted by the ministry via his official account on Twitter that the committee had confirmed the validity of what had been reported about "Khatib" by approving after taking his statement.
He stated that the subject would be forwarded to the Prince of the Makkah region, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, to take whatever he deemed appropriate vis-à-vis the "Khatib" and those who had prepared the place for Eid prayer without the permission of the competent authorities.
The "Sheikh" had said earlier that the speaker in the sermon was not a member of the ministry and that the place where the Eid prayer was not meant for prayer .
He pointed out that it is a piece of land of space, has been prepared in a district of Jeddah without official permission.
