A spokeswoman for German auto parts maker Robert Bosch said on Tuesday the company had signed a memorandum of understanding to explore business opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
Bush was responding to a Reuters investigation after learning that Saudi Arabia would stop signing contracts with companies and commercial establishments that do not have regional headquarters in the kingdom.
The spokesperson said the company had an office in the Kingdom and was also present in the Middle East, including Pakistan, Qatar, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.
And the Saudi News Agency reported this month that 24 international companies had signed agreements to establish large regional offices in the capital, Riyadh.
Bechtel, the American construction company, was chosen among the companies signing the memorandum of understanding.
Last year, Saudi Arabia awarded Bechtel a contract for general direction work for the $ 500 billion Business District Basic Infrastructure Development (NEOM) project in the kingdom’s north.
