Benin Shahin said that weight loss starts from the brain and that if the mind is convinced of the change, it will succeed.
So, Shahine, a nutritionist at First Middle East Fitness, explains that the first step in starting a healthy and dieting diet is to train one's mind to think about the physical condition and to think that he has a lean body.
One should also train his mind to think that he does not force himself to follow a healthy system, but that he keeps his body healthy.
"You have to understand why you are dieting and what is your main goal," said Shaheen. "It has to do with thinking, so you have to think differently:
– The change must be started gradually so that the body can accept it.
– When you follow a healthy diet, you have the ability to determine what to eat
– We work to improve the quality of the food that treats it.
– Extends the body to elements with high nutritional value.
– Moderate diet, eat occasionally, and not deprive the body of the food of choice.
– The results appear in the long term, and the most important thing to gain is to stay healthy.
– The benefits of eating should be understood and why they are needed, especially to protect the body from many health risks.
– We control the quality and quantity of food, not the opposite.
The problem is not the food, but the daily habits of eating.
– Do not eat large amounts of food to feel comfortable or to celebrate from time to time; pay attention to what is known as "eating emotionally".
Shaheen pointed out that scientifically, the brain is the head of the endocrine system in the body, where all the hormones are controlled and secreted. Here is an overview of the hormones, which increase when you follow an improper diet:
– Cortisol: secreted by the adrenal gland, also called stress hormone, where one feels lazy and tired, and especially the desire to eat salty and sweet.
– Thyroid: the thyroid is also affected by a poor diet, but its effect varies from person to person. It can lead to an inability to lose weight, which leads to a loss of motivation to continue to eat healthy.
– Insulin: a hormone that controls blood sugar. If it is high, the desire to eat sugary foods increases, making weight loss difficult.
