In an interview with the newspaper “Vecernaya Moskva”, Dr Kondrakhin affirms that these symptoms are an atypical reaction in the case of “Covid-19”. According to him, a low body temperature can be observed in the elderly and children, explaining that this anomaly may not be caused by an infection of the emerging coronavirus at all.
The doctor said: “Low body temperature is noted in hypothyroidism, malignant tumors, cancer of the central nervous system, injuries and liver disease.”
The doctor pointed out that the liver is responsible for “warming” the body, so hypothermia is often seen in people with cirrhosis.
In addition to this, hypothermia can be congenital, indicating the use of certain types of medications and drug abuse.
