Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo has quickly beaten his score in the last four internationals for his country, having managed to score the net against Luxembourg on Tuesday in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Ronaldo scored Portugal’s second goal in the 50th minute of the game, after taking advantage of a cross from colleague Joao Cancelo in the box to deflect the ball into the net, to help Portugal win 3-1.
With this goal, Ronaldo increased his score to 103 goals with his country, to consolidate his position in second place, and reduce the gap to 6 goals with the Iranian legend Ali Daei (109 goals), the top scorer of the history of football at international level.
It’s likely that Ronaldo will succeed in breaking a Dai number or at least his equation this year, given that the “Don” is set to play a series of matches with his country, including at least 3 Cup matches. Europe of Nations scheduled for next summer, and a few European qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar.
