Working out of bed … the perfect mental health benefits

Large numbers of people have moved to work from their homes since the start of the lockdown resulting from ‘Covid-19’, with rooms turning into offices in the past 9 months.

And research by OTTY, a bedding company, shows that at least a quarter of people spend a working day in bed.

The UK investigation found that bed work hit an all-time high shortly before the second lockdown was announced and as a result, the company contacted chiropractors and mental health professionals to determine the implications of spend a day at work in bed.

Researchers have pointed out that working from the bed, in fact, can be beneficial for the mental health of the individual and there are many positives to be noted in this regard.

Counselor Kerry Quigley, who is certified by the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy, said: “Working out from the comfort of your bed can make you feel like you are in a safe and calming place, especially when anxiety is a problem. It can eliminate stressors such as mobility and politics in the workplace. ”

He added: “Eliminating these pressures and being independent in organizing your day allows for better time management, increased productivity and better job satisfaction.”

However, to improve mental health, experts advise getting at least 45 minutes of exercise a day and moving around regularly.

Councilor Quigley added, “When possible, incorporate exercise, regular breaks and social interactions into your daily routine. For some people, listening to music can help focus.
