The Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization has announced its opposition to the request for certificates of vaccination against the emergence of the corona virus, a condition for authorizing travel between countries.
The committee said in its recommendations: “There are still many major unknowns regarding the effectiveness of vaccines in terms of reducing viral transmission, and vaccines are currently available in limited quantities.”
She added: “Evidence of vaccination should not rule out other preventive health measures.”
For his part, the chairman of the committee Didier Hussein said: “The world is in a race against the Corona virus, which has started to mutate”, noting that “these new variables require rapid and intense research”.
He added: “It is clear that the issue of air, land and sea travel may need better organization.”
