Xiaomi announced today the creation of the Inter-Transfer Alliance, in which Oppo and Vivo have teamed up to create an AirDrop file transfer service. This service is currently in open beta and will allow devices from different manufacturers to share images and documents in one go or one click.

According to the company, the file-sharing process does not consume a lot of battery, consume 4G data or require a third-party application based on Bluetooth technology. Transfer speed of up to 20 Mbps, normal 720p film will be transferred between two phones less than two minutes.

Currently, the Inter-Transfer Alliance has only three members, but Xiaomi invites others to join. It's a safe bet that other Chinese brands such as Realme and Redmi will also be part of the team, their parent companies being part of this alliance.
