Al-Marsad Journal: Egyptian artist Mohy Ismail insulted a journalist on the sidelines of the Luxor Festival of African Cinema, calling him an idiot.
Ismail interrupted a reporter after being asked about his “behavior, which some call crazy”, to quickly reply: “You are the dumbest for you … you know how to ask.”
Ismail added that all the artists in the world were described as crazy, but that they were “rational in their art,” he said.
The Egyptian artist stressed that he accepts criticism and learns if there is “someone who knows”, and continued: “Whoever I find is not qualified for this, I do not take his criticism seriously.
