The Zamalek Club handball team beat their counterpart Al-Ahly with a score of 28/27 in the fourth round of the second phase of the men’s professional league for the 2020/2021 home season in the stadium hall of the Cairo.
The first half ended with a 15/14 score in favor of the Al-Ahly team before Zamalek managed to advance into the second half to reach the 13th point.
Both Al-Ahly and Al-Zamalek teams are tied on points so far in the league table with a score of 13 points, where the leading goal difference is determined according to the competition committee’s announcement. .
The Hisham Nasr-led handball federation managed to prevent the summit from being postponed by securing safety approval after Youth and Sports Minister Dr Ashraf Sobhi mediated to obtain urgent security approval.
Hisham Nasr, president of the handball federation, issued a decree yesterday informing Al-Ahly and the Zamalek Club of the holding of the match at the top of the fourth round of the second phase of the professional league on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the stadium hall from Cairo until security approval is complete.
The meeting proceeded without the presence of the masses, as a response was sent to both clubs stating that only Al Ittihad card holders are allowed to attend the match.
