KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Kenya's Jormahiya beat visitors Zamalek 4-1 in their opening games of the Africa Confederation Cup group.
Zamalek got off to a good start and managed to get through Ibrahim Hassan in the seventh minute with a powerful shot from the penalty area, but Gormahia managed to come back in the 20th minute thanks to Jacques Tuisengi.
13 minutes later, Tuisengi returned to silence Zamalek's head in the middle of the Zamalek defenders' absence. Kenyan led the match with two goals and Jormahia did not continue for more than 6 minutes. Ibrahim Hassan equalized in the 44th minute.
In the second half, Zamalek's performance fell sharply to give Gormahia a chance to seal the match, with the Kenyan team heading to Nicolas Kipkurui.
Zamalek failed to turn the score at halftime, although he missed some opportunities to his players. He was assisted by Hazem Imam, Omar Al-Saeed and Hamid Ahad in place of Mahmoud Al-Wensh, Ibrahim Hassan and Mahmud Khera, respectively.
