The Moroccan website "Morocco News" has announced that CAF is planning to launch a new tournament, the African League of Nations, which could be announced on December 28, on the sidelines of the draw for the role of African Champions League groups. and the annex of the African Confederation held in Cairo.
According to reports, African teams will be divided into four levels, with the first games starting in August 2019.
The African Union will divide the 36 participating teams into four levels, based on the world ranking, and will compete in the return system. The division will be as follows:
Level I: Egypt, Tunisia, Ghana, Morocco, Cameroon, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Cape Verde, Senegal, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal.
Level II: Côte d 'Ivoire, Guinea, South Africa, Zambia, Uganda, Congo, Gabon, Benin.
Level III: Angola, Guinea Bissau, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger, Togo, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
Level 4: Tanzania, Comoros, Seychelles, Libya, Malawi, Ethiopia, Liberia, Sierra Leone.
