Cairo – (Masrawy):
Zamalek lost defender Mahmoud Alaa to Petro Atletico Angolan because of the injury sustained due to muscle cramps.
Zamalek will meet Angola at 9 pm on Sunday in the third round of the African Confederation Championship at the Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
A source from Zamalek's technical staff said that the player was not cured and that he was setting up an intensive treatment program during the current period.
He added that the technical director had included Alaa in the camp to prepare him to participate in the Egypt Cup Compensation Match.
Zamalek coach Christian Gross included Alaa for the team's camp at Burj Al Arab, which will continue until the quarter-final match against Egypt on Wednesday.
Zamalek stumbled on the start of his African campaign after a 2-2 loss to Kenya's Gormachia before a home draw in the second round with Nasr Hussain Dae Algerie (1-1).
It should be noted that Nasr Hussein Dai is leading the fourth group of Confederation with 4 points, beating Petro Atletico and Gormahia with 3 points each and Zamalek with one point at the end of the standings.
