Al Ittihad has qualified for the quarter-finals of the Zayed Cup for Arab clubs after beating Zamalek 4-3 on penalties on Friday in the round of 16.
The match ended with a 1-0 victory by Emmanuel Benahini in the 84th minute.
The first leg was Zamalek's 1-0 win. Both teams had a total score of 1-1 and had to play shots on goal.
Emmanuel Benahini, Mahmoud Shaaban, Nour Al-Sayed and Mohammed Nasif were the scorers of the penalty shootout, while Mohammed Bazoka and Karim Deeb were misplaced.
Zamalek, Fergany Sassi, Joseph Obama and Mustapha Fathi as well as Mahmoud Alaa, Abdullah Gomaa and Hamdi Al-Naqaz were also absent.
