Zamalek's first basketball team, led by Essam Abdel Hamid, won a landslide victory over Al-Ahly, 90-67, in the eighth round of the tournament in the club lounge on Saturday night.
Al-Amri Farooq, vice president of the Al Ahly club, was present at Zamalek's club headquarters to attend the Red team's match against his white counterpart. Representatives of Zamalek, Dr. Sharifa Alfar, member of the White Castle Board of Directors, attended the meeting.
Zamalek hosted Al Ahly in the second round of the Super Cup. The match was scheduled for Feb. 26, but was postponed due to the red team's participation in the African championship clubs.
