The Arab Football Federation has tasked a Bahraini referee team led by Nawaf Shukrallah to lead Al Ahly and Al Hilal to the semi-finals of the Zayed Cup for Champion Clubs, to be held on April 15 in Jeddah.
The referee from Bahrain has already managed to face Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League in 2016, while Shukrallah has been involved in managing the 2014 World Cup and the 2018 World Cup .
The first step between Al Hilal and Al Ahly in the capital, Riyadh, was the scene of a wide-ranging debate over arbitration cases and the whistle of UAE referee Ammar Al-Junaiby, the clash that has resulted in the victory of Al Hilal.
