Zidane resumes training at Real Madrid

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has been appointed coach of the Spanish football team after the sacking of Argentine Santiago Solari, appointed club director for more than five months.

Zidane signed a three-year contract until June 2022, nine months after his resignation at the end of last season.

Zidane left Real in May after driving three times in the Champions League.

Real is now third in the Primera Liga, 12 points behind Barcelona.

The decision to dismiss Solari after Real's defeat on Sunday was taken against Real Valladolid 1-4, just days after his sudden defeat against Ajax Amsterdam.

A defeat against Ajax after two consecutive defeats against Barcelona opponents was a three-goal loss in the King's Cup and the other a non-response in the Primera Liga.

Zidane resigned from Real Madrid after winning the Champions League final in Liverpool. He was immediately hired as a successor to the World Cup, Spain having to lead the World Cup, but was immediately fired.

Solari was the coach of Real Madrid's return team before taking over as interim coach from the first team, followed by a two-year contract on November 13th. 2021.
