Saweetie opens up about a recently released video of an altercation between her and her ex-boyfriend Quavo.

The rapper, born Diamonté Harper, claims the two “reconciled” after the 2020 incident but admits there were “too many other hurdles to overcome” in the couple’s relationship.

In the 1.5-minute clip, Saweetie punched Quavo in the face and threw a suitcase out of an elevator before the Migos member dragged his then-girlfriend into the elevator and fell on her. .

Saweetie, offscreen for most of the footage, apparently lay on the floor before struggling to get up and limp out of the elevator as Quavo watched.

The week before the video’s release, Saweetie confirmed that she and Quavo had split up with a hint of infidelity.

“I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and pain behind the scenes for a false story to go around that degrades my character,” Saweetie tweeted. “Gifts don’t heal scars and love isn’t real when privacy is given to other women.”

Later that day, Quavo addressed Saweetie, writing, “You are not the woman I thought you were.”

“I know you want to make a show of it so I’ll play my part just once,” he wrote. “Normally, I don’t market my business, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this issue so that there are no false narratives.

“I had love for you and I am disappointed that you did all of this. You are not the woman I thought you were. I only wish you the best,” he added.
