SAINT ANTHONY – San Antonio Water System is opening seven water distribution points at its pumping stations on Friday to provide water to customers.
Residents will need to bring their own clean containers such as jugs to fill with water, the utility said in a press release.
Customers will be entitled to five gallons of water per person. As a precaution, water should be boiled before drinking or used in cooking, reflecting the city’s current boil water advisory, officials said.
Hours of operation will be 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Starting Saturday, the hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The sites will be open until the water system is back to normal working order.
Customers should expect the possibility of long queues at pumping stations.
