Scarlett Johansson joins Wes Anderson Film with Margot Robbie

Looks like Scarlett Johansson will be Wes Anderson’s symbolic person of color in his next film. According to Hollywood journalist, the Black Widow star is the latest A-list actor to sign on the filmmaker French expedition followed, currently filming in Spain. She joins her usual suspects – Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Tilda Swinton – as well as newcomers Margot Robbie, Rupert Friend and Tom Hanks. Details about the project, which Anderson writes and directs, are still hidden. Johansson previously worked with the director on 2018 The island of dogs before receiving two Oscar nominations in 2020 for Marriage story and Bunny Jojo. The stand-alone superhero of Woody Allen’s supporter Black Widow was released in July in theaters and on Disney +, prompting a lawsuit alleging it was guaranteed a day-and-date release in its contract. Wes Anderson certainly won’t break that promise to her. The French dispatch will finally hit theaters in October, just as her new film wraps up filming.
