Republican lawmakers rejected Cohen's credibility, pointing out that he had already admitted to having lied to Congress on the planned construction of a Trump tower in Moscow.
A sitting president can not be charged under the current guidelines of the Department of Justice. But Schiff argued that the Ministry's guidelines were flawed because of the limitation period.
