School shooter Parkland Nikolas Cruz wrote to name his future children after guns

CBS Miami reported on letters released Monday by the Broward Attorney's Office. A source told the chain that the authorities had seized the letters from Cruz's cell after a clash with a deputy detention officer last year.

Childish drawings, simple language and spelling errors mark the letters, as does the sometimes disjointed nature of the subjects.

It is clear that Cruz is trying to impress the woman as he tells stories of his life, such as the moment when a friend accidentally shot him in the belly with a pellet gun.

He also asks him questions typical of high school students about his interests, tastes and desires.

On a few occasions, Cruz explores her feelings.
