School shooter Parkland Nikolas Cruz wrote to name his future children after guns

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Last fall, Parkland murderer Nikolas Cruz wrote a series of letters – many of them daily – to a woman living in the UK. He professed his love for her, asked him to marry him and told him that he wanted at least three children – and he wanted to name them after firearms.

CBS Miami reported on letters released Monday by the Broward Attorney's Office. A source told the chain that the authorities had seized the letters from Cruz's cell after a clash with a deputy detention officer last year.

Childish drawings, simple language and spelling errors mark the letters, as does the sometimes disjointed nature of the subjects.

It is clear that Cruz is trying to impress the woman as he tells stories of his life, such as the moment when a friend accidentally shot him in the belly with a pellet gun.

He also asks him questions typical of high school students about his interests, tastes and desires.

On a few occasions, Cruz explores her feelings. He talks about the death sentence saying, "Part of me wants to finish.Complete with the pentale of death.Let someone inject me with one last sleep my kind of what I want but I'm not sure of myself so I'm just letting people save me from me, saving me from something I will never be able to come back to. "

Cruz admits that he was a bad boy at school. "When I was thirteen, I started playing more often at school," he wrote. "I had the habit of shooting fire alarms, intimidating teachers and breaking things as if I was kicking in a window because the kids would not let me in and I poured ice cream on the floors in 7th grade of my teacher's birthday, it was funny. "

He talks about his mother and how he felt alone and isolated with her. "I loved that my mother was not mistaken, she even bought me my first pistol when I was 15 and bought me video games when I was young, "he writes.

Cruz never speaks of the violence and death that he inflicted on the Parkland community in February 2018. But he asks the woman that he wrote to marry her.

He also asks: "Do you want children? I really want children. I want 3 boys and girls, maybe more lol.The names of the boys will be Kalashnikov, Markov, Remington."

These are brands and models of firearms, although it seems that it is Makarov's, not Markov's.

Cruz browses many topics and stories, but also seems lucid and know the good of the bad.

He talks repeatedly about his life in prison and his weight gain. He calls the prison "boring" and says, "It's really easy to gain weight here."

He also says that he can not sleep more than a few hours each night because the guards wake him up every few hours.

Cruz seemed resigned to the fact that he was going to spend his life in prison. But he dreams of going out one day.

He says that he would live outside and ask the woman if she would allow him to own a weapon.

"Would I accept a crossbow if I lived with you?" He asked. "It will only be used for sport and hunting, that's all."

Cruz's lawyers said he would plead guilty to the charges in exchange for a life sentence. Prosecutors are demanding the death penalty against him.
