Scoring a significant number of races against guys by the name of Zack is now their title. – Dodgers Digest

The oddity of the Friday night marathon continued until Saturday's match between the Dodgers and the D-backs. Do you want a lot of dongs, two position throwing players, and all this in just over three hours? So that was the game for you.

The beginnings of Kenta Maeda's season started shaking. Jarrod Dyson made a rare home run, a header shot in the center of the right field against the right-handed veteran. Dyson scored just two points in 237 appearances at the plate last year.

Joc Pederson immediately responded with an opposing solo dong of Zack Godley in the lower half of the first. Pederson has already hit three homers in his first three games. I am happy that they have not traded for marginal prospects this season.

Pederson also made a nice shot in the left field near the wall and drew a key driveway to load Godley's bases at the bottom of the third.

The third run was very expensive for the defenders. Godley made a big mistake by throwing the ball in the foreground on a Maeda sacrifice.

Austin Barnes, who dominated the frame with a single, was caught off guard by the plate. Seager tapped the ball in front of the plate and Godley sent it to receiver Alex Avila to put Barnes on the slide. The Dodgers contested the appeal, but the appeal was confirmed.

If the little ball does not work, the good old fashion hits will also work. Justin Turner seems to be warming up and he hit a single to two innings to break the tie.

Then Cody Bellinger followed with a single from the RBI, and A.J. Pollock completed the triplet attack with a single RBI.

The Dodgers were 5-1 just like that, scoring four points in the frame.

Arizona got a comeback when Avila dominated in the top of the fifth.

The Dodgers offensive would spread in the sixth. First, we are treated to the second # Belli Bell of the year.

Godley was still in the game, though he was crazy and did not have his best performances, as both teams used a total of 15 pitchers in Friday's game. Torey Lovullo hoped to have some length with him.

The snakes collapsed further. Godley was kicked out of the match after hitting Taylor with a throw followed by a doubled Maeda.

Defender Matt Koch also seemed unchained and he hit Pederson with a shot to charge the goals with a withdrawal. Seager is unmarked, allowing Barnesy to score. Turner walked and Bellinger then cashed two more points in one. Bellinger attempted to challenge Dyson's arm and extend his basic strike into a double, but was dismissed.

Yet another Dodger is hit with a pitch, this time A.J. Pollock takes his turn. Then Max Muncy takes part in the fifth inning of the round and in the eleventh round of the match with a RBI single.

Godley's last line: 5.1 IP, 8 R (7 earned), 8 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 101 slots (63 shots)

Maeda is the first Dodger star to enter the seventh inning this year. Unfortunately, Adam Jones enjoys it with a solo circuit.

Despite his three solo tours that he allowed, Maeda ate a few innings and held the D-backs hitters almost overnight. His last line: 3 R, 5 H, 6 K, 2 BB, 106 throws (68 shots). He made almost as many changes (39) as fast balls (44). Maeda was cheered on the way back to the dugout after 6.2 innings.

At the bottom of the seventh, the D-backs officially threw the sponge. Player Position on Alert: John Ryan Murphy, a receiver, took the hill to Arizona. The Dodgers did not take advantage right away, but Pederson and Turner both slammed Murphy's slider at 58 mph. Bellinger had the opportunity to collect another 4 RBI with the bases loaded, but he flew to complete the frame.

David Peralta beat Brock Stewart to eighth place, 11-5.

Murphy was back home for half the eighth, and the Dodgers gladly accepted. That stick practice starts!

Barnes hit a two-sleeved dong.

Brock Stewart went into action with a double.

Alex Verdugo scored a double RBI.

Turner is distinguished at Joc.

Bellinger returned for the second time that night. He drove in a record of six races.

18-5.

We never saw the Yasiel Puig field nor Enrique Hernandez caught, but we asked Russell Martin to throw a ninth 1-2-3 to close it for the Dodgers.

What a strange sport.

I was going to publish the pictures of the puppy Buehler in the entirety of the recap if they had lost. Who am I joking? I was going to post winning or losing.

The Dodgers improve to 2-1 and try to win their first series when the first series ends Sunday afternoon. Walker Buehler makes his debut in the season and Luke Weaver debuts with D-backs. The first step is scheduled for 13:10 PST / 16:10 EST.
