Seahawks sign the end of the match, Luke Willson

After a year of absence, Luke Willson is back in which he spent the first five seasons of his career in the NFL.

The Seahawks signed Willson on Wednesday, bringing back not only a productive member but a fan favorite who conquered Seattle with his cheerful personality. The Seahawks had an opening on their list, and at close range, after agreeing to exchange Nick Vannett in Pittsburgh Wednesday.

A fifth-round choice on Rice in 2013, Willson played 72 games in five seasons with the Seahawks, recording 89 assists for a total of 1,129 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was also the recipient of the largest 2-point conversion in franchise history, a late take in the 2014 NFC Championship game that proved crucial in an overtime victory over the Packers.

Willson signed with Detroit as a free agent last year, giving him the chance to play just across the border from his hometown of Windsor, Ontario. He has appeared in 14 games with the Lions last season, starting eight with 13 catches for 87 yards. Willson spent training camp and pre-season with Oakland this year before being released.

By helping to launch the Movement "Techno Thursday" in 2017 to his wacky personality in interviews to the tendency to occasionally issue conspiracy theories in the locker room – he has ideas on the lunar landing – Willson has become adored Seahawks fans for whom he was as much as for what he did on the ground.
