Seahawks to sign ex-Lions DE Ansah

Former Detroit Lions defensive player Ziggy Ansah agreed Wednesday night to sign a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, said Adam Schefter of the Spanish league, a championship source.

Ansah is due to travel to Seattle on Thursday to sign the contract, a source told Schefter.

The acquisition of Ansah by the Seahawks will help offset the loss of DE Frank Clark, who was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Until Thursday, the Seahawks will not lose a compensatory choice of 2020 by signing Ansah.
