Search and destroy to retrieve the latest Killcam

[ad_1]

After a number of player complaints, it looks like Black Ops Cold War’s Search and Destroy mode is picking up its latest Killcam.

Search and Destroy is one of the most iconic modes in the Call of Duty series. With two teams competing to plant a bomb or defend the bomb sites, players only have one life to reach their goal.

Additionally, there is no Killcam to display after your death, for fear of revealing an enemy’s location. It’s a very different mode that players either love or hate.

But even those who love Search and Destroy will notice a major difference in Black Ops Cold War. In other words, the game no longer has Final Killcams, but is replaced by a Best Play.

This means that the stunning finishes of the search and destroy history are sometimes no longer visible to all players. Instead, someone performing a double kill earlier in the game will be featured, much to everyone’s disappointment.

Fortunately, it looks like things are about to change for Cold War fans.

Black Ops Cold War Search & Destroy Final Killcam Returns

Twitter user TheMW2Ghost put it best when they wrote about Treyarch killing the Search and Destroy vibe. According to the fan, they used to play the game mode just to get “an insane random cross card tomahawk” for the Final Killcam.

Now that there is no incentive to play, Search and Destroy has lost its appeal to this player. However, Treyarch is now confirming that Black Ops Cold War’s Final Search and Destroy will be back.

In response to TheMW2Ghost, Matt Scronce, Lead Game Designer, confirms that the Final Killcam will be back. However, it may be slightly different from what longtime gamers remember.

According to Treyarch Designer, a hybrid system will combine Best Play and Final Killcam. The system will select a clip to show players, depending on what ends the round.

This is great news for the Call of Duty community, but they will have to wait for its implementation before they celebrate. At this time, there is no ETA on the Final Killcam that goes to Cold War’s Search and Destroy.

However, when Treyarch returns from his vacation, Matt Scronce may be able to provide more updates.

Unfortunately, while Treyarch is away, the Black Ops Cold War servers are in serious trouble. It’s especially frustrating for those trying to take advantage of the Cold War New Year’s Double XP event.

Now that the servers seem to be coming back online, here’s how to quickly unlock Black Ops Cold War’s new hammer. The latest Cold War update also adds a new operator to the game.
